Gary Fisher is a mostly self-taught oil painter that works in a realistic style and is drawn to the old Dutch and Flemish paintings such as Vermeer. Gary has studied with noted painters Cassey Baugh, Jane Jones, Mark Carder, Daniel Edmondson, and Yvonne Herd Arrowood. Most of Gary’s paintings are completed on primed Belgian linen or wooden panels. Mr. Fisher is also working with a process that he created doing pen & ink sketches with acrylic washes on stretched canvas or linen. Gary has previously painted in Parkersburg, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio. Since relocating to Palm Coast, Fl., Gary has joined as an active member of the Portrait Society of America as well as a juried member of Oil Painters of America.
